On Saturday, June 13, our First Team finished its first week of full team training ahead of the season’s restart hard at work on the pitch of Inter Miami CF Stadium. It was the second time our players had the opportunity to train at their home stadium, as Inter Miami previously held an open training session at the stadium back in March.
Despite the season’s suspension, the team has continued to stay in form over the past months and the first week of full team training comes after several weeks of voluntary individual workouts followed by a week of voluntary small group training sessions at the Club's facilities.
Our boys were all smiles once again as they continued to enjoy the first week of the regular team training with their teammates after an almost three-month-long change to their daily workout regimen.
Under strict health and safety regulations set by MLS, the training center and fields were limited to players and essential staff only, who are required to undergo regular testing for COVID-19.
With the MLS is Back Tournament set to take place from July 8 through August 11 in Orlando, Fla., our head coach Diego Alonso and the rest of the coaching staff have little less than a month to make the final tweaks so our players are completely geared up for the season’s return.
In the Club’s first matchup in our team’s return to competitive action, Inter Miami is set to take on Orlando City SC on July 8 in what will be the opening match of the MLS is Back Tournament.
