Inter Miami CF defender Kelvin Leerdam and midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro have been called up to their respective national teams ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
Leerdam will be joining Suriname’s squad ahead of hosting Bermuda in the team’s next FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Friday, June 4 at 6 p.m. ET at Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadion. The team will then carry on with its World Cup qualifying campaign with a trip to face Canada away on Tuesday, June 8 at 9:05 p.m. ET at Toyota Park in Chicago, Ill.
Pizarro, meanwhile, is part of Mexico’s 23-man list to take on Iceland in an international friendly on Saturday, May 29 at 9:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Mexico will subsequently play Costa Rica in a Concacaf Nations League semifinal on Thursday, June 3 at 11 p.m. ET at Sports Authority Field in Denver, Colo. Pizarro’s Mexico will then close out this round of international matches by facing Honduras on Friday, June 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET in an international friendly at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
