Blaise Matuidi Trains with the Team for the First Time

World Cup-winning French international Blaise Matuidi was officially cleared to join the team in training prior to completing his first session on Thursday.

The decorated midfielder arrived in South Florida last week and followed the appropriate health and safety protocols before completing his first training session with his new teammates and coaching staff.

“He will surely provide us with all of his quality on the pitch. He’s a very dynamic player. It’s something we’ve been on the lookout for. A player that can help the team be more dynamic, that contributes quality in midfield and who can help us make a jump forward,” said manager Diego Alonso upon his acquisition.

The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Juventus man will look to add his signature attributes – intelligence, movement, motor, versatility, and above all, leadership – to the Inter Miami midfield in its inaugural campaign.

The midfield engine, who will wear the no. 8 shirt for the team, showcased his excitement as he joined his teammates in training after a period of waiting.
